Call tracking
Show tracking numbers on your site (number swap)
Dynamic number insertion from an OrcLink number pool: each visitor sees their own number, so the call joins their visit.
Built, not yet tested liveBuilt. Not yet tested against a live Twilio account.
Live: shipped in OrcLink's production release before this one. Built, not yet tested live: built and tested with sample data, not yet run against a live account of the vendor. Coming soon: listed, not available to connect yet.
Steps
- Set up a number pool on the Calls page (the numbers are bought on Twilio).
- With the OrcLink script on the page, wrap each phone number in an element with the pool's class: orc-tel, or orc-tel-<name> per location.
<a class="orc-tel" href="tel:+14155550000">(415) 555-0000</a> <!-- per location: class="orc-tel-london" on that pool -->
What happens
- The text and the tel: link are both swapped.
- Visitors without consent, crawlers and AI agents see your own number.
- Static numbers (print, billboards, ad extensions) are on the Calls page, Static numbers tab.
